Fall Turkey Shoot
The 2024 Fall Turkey Shoot begins Saturday, October 5, 2024 at 8:00 AM lasting until no one wants to shoot any more. Continuing each Saturday thru Dec. 21st plus the morning of Thanksgiving Day.

Location: 820 S. Alabama Ave, Chesnee, SC
Cost: $4 per shot
The target used in this turkey shoot is
ALP48 does NOT appear on the targets used.
TURKEY SHOOT RULES
SAFETY
1.
All shotguns will be checked to make sure that they are not loaded.
2.
Shooters will keep their guns pointed to the ground or down range when loading.
3.
Guns are never pointed toward the highway, ie HWY 221.
4.
No shooting while the train is passing by.
SHOTGUNS
1.
The following gauge shotguns are the only shotguns to be used; 12 gauge, 16
gauges, 20 gauges and 410 gauge.
2.
Some turkey shoots allow
shooters to use other shooters shotguns with out asking, at the American Legion
turkey shoot you MUST ASK TO USE SOMEONE
SHOTGUN!!
3.
No Scopes or Laser sights
allowed, open sites only.
Shotgun barrels can have screw
in chokes or drop in chokes, but the overall length of the barrel cannot exceed
32” in length. See picture below:

WINNERS
1.
The shooter with the pellet closest to the bull’s eye wins.
2.
All ties will be decided by the next round or the shooters can agree to spilt
the pot.
EXAMPLE:
Shooters 3 and 4 tied for closest to the bull’s eye; shooter 3 and 4 will
compete in the next round to see which shooter is the closest to the bull’s eye.
If shooter 3 or 4 wins the next round, that shooter wins both rounds.
If shooter 3 or 4 does not win the next round, their target will be
judged separately to see which one of the two shooters is closest to the bull’s
eye.
