Vice Chair Duties

 RC Vice-Chairperson for Competitions
 1.    oversees all gun competitions sponsored by the Post
 2.    advertising events
 3.    making up targets
 4.    striping the range the day before the event
 5.    certifying the validity of the competitors including age, eligibility affidavits and liability agreements
 6.    purchases prizes (paid for by the Post)
 7.    registration of competitors (minimum of 10 required)
 8.    relay & lane assignments
 9.    scoring
10.   filling required personnel assignments
11.   serves as Range Master for the event
12.   call sub-committee meetings as necessary
13.   report significant information to the RC Chairperson
14.   purchases supplies needed to support competitions

 RC Vice Chairperson for Education & Training
 1.    overseas all training for RC members
 2.    teaching the Range Rules & Safety Classes (RR&S)
 3.    Rules Enforcement Training
 4.    Key Swap Training
 5.    RR&S Class Training for all RC members to substitute teach the class
 6.    Range Physical Check training
 7.    competition scorer training
 8.    other range related training as necessary
 9.    call sub-committee meetings as necessary
10.   report significant information to the RC Chairperson

RC Vice Chairperson for Liability
 1.    oversees all aspects of the Post’s responsibility for Liability Agreements (LA).
 2.    ensuring blank LA Forms are available where needed
 3.    collecting forms from the mail box under the shed
 4.    entering form data into the database
 5.    printing the LA list monthly and posting it under the shed
 6.    call sub-committee meetings as necessary
 7.    report significant information to the RC Chairperson
 8.    Each year in November present to the full RC information concerning purchasing liability insurance for the range

 RC Vice-Chairperson for Maintenance
 1.    oversees the physical care of the range
 2.    repair all physical parts of the range
 3.    constructing and changing frames as necessary
 4.    removing dead, fallen, or unwanted trees from the range area
 5.    clearing certain foliage blocking the view of the range from the building
 6.    ordering and maintaining gravel in the parking lot and walk paths as necessary
 7.    call sub-committee meetings as necessary
 8.    report significant information to the RC Chairperson
 9.    Maintaining paint on all gong targets
10.   purchases supplies needed to support the range
[If SAL continues to mow the grass, this is excluded from the duties.]

RC Vice-Chairperson for Security
 1.    responsible for maintaining security of the range; this includes entrance security and trespass security
 2.    collects Sign In Cards from gray box under shed and enters data into database
 3.    review range camera pictures & reports significant findings, e.g., rifles, bad behavior, etc. to RC Chairperson
 4.    receives and reviews violation reports from RC members; forwards to RC Chairperson with recommendations for handling
 5.    purchases supplies needed to support security of the range
 6.    coordinate with CWP instructors:
        (a) ensure instructor has reserved the range with the Building Manager
        (b) ensure instructor & all assistants are current on RR&S class
        (c) provide blank LA’s to instructor
        (d) ensure instructor follows the Requirements for CWP Instructor to use Range document
        (e) ensure instructor submits completed
CWP Instructor Check List

RC Chairperson
 1.    appoints and supervises the Vice Chairs
 2.    manages the range key database
 3.    manages the range keys
 4.    accountable for all funds related to the range
 5.    manages Range Committee budget
 6.    schedules and conducts RC meetings as necessary
 7.    is responsible for all donations to the range and the sale of donated salable items
 8.    prepares Range Reports to be given at Post meetings
 9.    receives violation reports from VC for Security; makes decision for prosecuting the violation, i.e., call a meeting of the Committee or handling of the violation themselves

General Information:
 1. Each RC Vice-Chair may recruit people to be members of their sub-committee.
 2. A person may be members of multiple sub-committees.
