April 30, 2022 Boy Scout Troop 11 Eagle Candidate Project

Eagle Scout candidates must complete a number of items to qualify for Eagle Scout.
One of the items is a project in the community. You can view the recommended steps for a project at the bottom of this page.
Eagle Scout candidate Eric Wiggins chose putting a safety fence around the creek at the entrance to the Post Range.
Eric is the grandson of Post Everlasting Member Jack Wiggins. He is the son of Post Member Michael Wiggins. Eric is a member of Boy Scout Troop 11.
The Troop 11 members, officials, and volunteers in the below photographs are: Eric Wiggins, Michael Wiggins, Katherine Wiggins, John Shehan, Tammy Shehan, Ian Anderson, Sean Griffin, Brian Anthony

Eagle Scout Project Steps
 1.     Come up with an idea that you are passionate about.
 2.     Work with the community to plan and get help from the school, church, or community.
 3.    Adapt the idea into something attainable in the time frame that you want.
 4.    Lay down the basis for what you need to get to make the project possible.
 5.    Get a good cost outlook of everything in the project.
 6.    Set a date for when you will start the project.
 7.    Start fundraising!
 8.    Set up an online calendar to make sure people come to volunteer.
 9.    Make sure all the proper equipment had been acquired and you have the proper food for the volunteers.
10.   Make sure the steps to complete your project are easy for people to understand.
11.   Guide people and lead them through the process of completing your project.
12.   Make final cleanups around the worksite and make it look amazing once you're finished with the project.
