You should note in the above wreath placements, that there are
veterans graves with no Veterans Administration gravesite marker.
The following quote is from the Veterans Benefits Administration,
"The Department of Veterans Affairs (VA) furnishes upon request,
at no charge to the applicant, a Government headstone or marker
for the unmarked grave of any deceased eligible Veteran in any
cemetery around the world, regardless of their date of death."
If you would like to volunteer for a Post 48 Gravesite Marker
Committee, please contact
VetServ@AmericanLegionPost48Chesnee.com
providing your name, email address, and telephone number. The
intent of this committee would be to assist families of veterans who
have not received a VA provided grave marker for their deceased
veteran. The committee would take charge of this for Alverson
Grove Baptist Church and whichever church is selected for the
2017 Wreaths Across America ceremony. More details will be
provided later.
